Who am I ?

My name is Nathan. I am a male in my 30s and started learning web development a few years ago, beginning with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I mainly worked on static websites, but I wanted to take it to the next level. So, I also started learning PHP for backend development and WordPress sites. Additionally, I learned Python for cybersecurity and as a general automation language.

I am currently transitioning into app security, preparing for the Burp Suite Certified Practitioner exam. I’ve found the web development field to be highly competitive, with an oversupply of developers relative to available jobs, especially at the beginner level. Additionally, web development often feels more like a marketing skill, where the cost of a project often correlates with how sophisticated the language used by the developer is. In contrast, I believe app and cybersecurity suit me better. These fields require a deep understanding, curiosity, and a passion for investigation and experimentation skills that are often less common, but essential for success.
